Introducing Edgeware

Edgeware is a fairly-launched, actively-governed smart contract platform. It integrates advanced features like proof-of-stake validation, WebAssembly smart contracts, and an interface for on-chain identity and governance.

Edgeware is a primary parachain candidate for Polkadot and Kusama networks. When Edgeware becomes a parachain, it will be able to leverage DOTs, KSM, ACA, Stafi Derivatives within Edgeware DeFi projects, integrate with privacy layers and other oracle solutions.

As part of our initial integration we are adding Edgeware as a fully supported network to the Paralink Node, as well as testing and validating our open-source WASM based oracle. The oracle will use Edgeware’s native currency (EDG token) for fees, making it seamless for integration.

Once the Edgeware integration in Paralink Node is complete, Edgeware DeFi apps can start deploying the oracle for their cross-chain asset pricing and real world data ingress needs.

Paralink Network’s main feature is the flexibility and ease of use through PQL which is essentially a JSON definition of the logic to obtain the data for the oracle.
Besides this Paralink Network offers support for a wide variety of data sources, such as HTTP API’s, SQL, GraphQL and other blockchains smart contract state, with Paralink Node.

As part of our long-term commitment to supporting the Edgeware community we are also looking forward to participation in the Edgeware network in a validator role.
